I just started this membership hoping someone could help me. I was recently given a 1976 thunderbird with a 460 stuffed under the hood. This engine will eventually be taken out and put in my 51 willys, ... if I can get it to run. So that is my first task. It needed a distributor and a battery but still wouldn't start, but then I noticed that a 16 gauge black wire coming from the starter solenoid was disconnected and tied to a support post. Not knowing where this wire went I touched it to the positive post on the battery and the engine turned over! Where does this wire go? There are two other wires coming from the starter, one thick red wire to the positive side of the battery, and one thin red wire with a blue stripe joining some other wires running to the firewall.
If some one can help me find out where this wire goes it would be appriciated. Thanks
