    Thanks, IC2! The difference is really small, maybe 1/16" or less with only one of the fingers. I guess I'll leave it. Going to look at the machine work necessary this morning in the bright of daylight (and clear head!). Also concerned about the tranny being moved about 5/8" rearward. This pulls it away from the pressure plate, making clutch adjustment even more difficult. Still may have to revise clutch actuation, maybe hydraulic is the answer.

    Verify this measurement (in height difference) only when pressure plate is bolted to flywheel! It could make a difference...
