Your post doesn’t make sense. Are you saying that when you place it in gear with the advance hooked up, it dies?
First of all, have you set the timing with a light to about 12 degrees advance with the vacuum disconnected?
Secondly, try sucking on the vacuum advance hose with your mouth, does the idle bump up? Or, when you hook it to vacuum, does the idle bump up? If you can suck on the hose leading to the advance and if the vacuum does not stay on, your vacuum pod has a leak.Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
