how do you adjust the vaccum advance on a 350 sbc..?
Never mind the vacuum advance, first of all you need to get that puppy fired up!
i did man i got new plugs and wires and put it in time it fired right up its missing though i was wondering if that could be vacuum advance and if so how to fix... i know its a rough idle cam but it shouldnt be that rough...btw i took the liberty to check for vacuum leaks and there are none....lol thanx for the help man
Stick your hand on top the carb with no air cleaner when it's running, If it smooths out in some chance it could be vacume advance. It also may be running to lean
Just cover one of the first barrals, dont cover the whole thing, it will choke out.
Hey Dom;
Your eratic idle is probably a mis-adjustment on the rockers, if you have just set them. If you need help, let me know!
Ok Guys its running real good with he vacuum advance plugged until you hit gear you hook the vacuum advance up and it dies at idle...plz help
i forgot to mention that my carb was dyno tested and tuned...ne help is appreciated..and i think the rockers are good it isnt missing nemore unless i hook up the vacuum advance..dom
Your post doesn’t make sense. Are you saying that when you place it in gear with the advance hooked up, it dies?
First of all, have you set the timing with a light to about 12 degrees advance with the vacuum disconnected?
Secondly, try sucking on the vacuum advance hose with your mouth, does the idle bump up? Or, when you hook it to vacuum, does the idle bump up? If you can suck on the hose leading to the advance and if the vacuum does not stay on, your vacuum pod has a leak.
ok man its the vacuum pod i guess. It isnt holding preasure...leak.....about how much do they run ne guess...and what do i ask for..vacuum pod..?
