Since the OEM Autocraft on my long gone '79 F350 was, I believe, about 500CFM, a 700 on a stock 460 is too much. The Edelbrock 1406 is a 600CFM and was a good replacement on that particular truck. (I did try a Holley 3310, 780 CFM and it shoved gas through that engine about like a flush toilet, especially driving through the Rocky Mountains - thank goodness for THREE gas tanks and 55 gallons
)
