What Is Your Pick For The Best Street/strip Carb
I have used a lot of carburetors over the years like most of you . And had some good and bad carbs . But I would have to say that the one that work the best right out the box was . The 750cfm Carter AFB super quad . This one was just like the Edelbrock performer 750cfm . But I dont think they are jetted the same . I had some luck with Q-JETS but the fuel wells alway seem to leak down even when repaired . Holley carbs are ok but the older ones always blow out the power valves . They do have the kit to repair this problem . I am thinking of running that Edelbrock Thunder AVS 650cfm carb . A Carter AVS carb was on my frends 1969 GTX 440 and it work real nice . What carburetor do you like and why ?
