The old saying is that a Holley will win on race day, but an Edelbrock will get you home from the track. Some truth to it IMO. I think Holleys are a better HP maker, but Edelbrocks are a very forgiving day to day carb.

Oh, if any of you are thinking of running two Edelbrock carbs on a two four manifold, I called Edelbrock the other day to ask how to adjust the idle screws on both carbs. They said crank in the front carb all the way and come back out 1/2 turn. Then set the rear carb to two turns out. This gives you an initial setting to start with. He also said no more than 6 psi at the carb.

I also think Edelbrocks handle dirt in the fuel somewhat better. For some reason Holleys get plugged up real fast with any small amount of dirt.
