Well, well, well... I think I managed to get rid of the bog but at the same time grenaded the TC and tranny

So the point is now moot... Getting the TC rebuilt locally and will up the stall a few hundred RPM. Tranny is a mess... TC took out front pump and plenty of shrapnel circulated through everywhere Complete rebuild with hot tank and the works should be done here in a few more days, maybe early next week.

As for the carb, found the secondary wasn't quite wide open so adjusted the linkage to vertical at full throttle and replaced secondary squirter with a #40 (was #31). The #40 is too big judging from the puff of black smoke so was going to back off to #35 next.

Oh well.... I guess the rear will be next
