    Regardless of how we do it, didn't you get instructions from Edelbrock?

    Assuming you didn't, and assuming it isn't a roller cam, here's what they say (at the bottom of page 2).

    Performer Plus Cam

    BTW, either of the two ways you mentioned will trash your engine. That's why you don't listen to what you've "heard." Listen to what the manufacturer tells you.
