shawn would you mind telling me what dynamic compression is? i have never heard that term before and this kinda caught mu interest because i advanced the cam timing in my galaxie after reating that it gave more low end power. what kind of changes would advancing make as far as dynamic compression?

Basically the cam controlls when the intake valve closes and therefore the actuall pressure that will be built in the cylinder.If you close the intake valve right before top dead center you loose compression and if you close the intake at bottom dead center you increase the amount of compression.
