Slant Six intake emission problems...
My brother-in-law has an 81 Dodge truck with a 225 slant Six and it has some kind of goofy electronic imission control on the air cleaner that isn't letting the motor run. Does anybody know how to by-pass that? Any ideas will be appreciated, Thanks."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

They put slant 6s in the trucks? Huh, learn something new every day. Anyway, there may be another way around it. Being a 81, chances are that your truck doesnt have to be on the smog test. My advice would be to switch the carb to a manual setup and possibly swap the distributor if needed. As long as you still have the Air pump and the Cats, no one is going to look twiceRight engine, Wrong Wheels
