Sounds like the Ford lifter would be machined too thin. If it is a solid lifter, it would work, i think. However, if it has Hydraulic lifters, machining the sidewalls would thin the metal to cracking. I would personally look to other GM engines first. 455/425 Olds, 500 Caddy, 454 Chevy ect. Their probably a lot closer.Right engine, Wrong Wheels
