Thanks for the info.

Now I thought of something else.

After I hooked up the secondaries and I gradually get into the pedal and reach above 15 to 2000 rpm it takes off. Some say it may be the intake. The Edlebrock TR1Y is a racing mainifold from the late 60's to 70's.

It has pop ups and racing valves. The heads are corvette 1967.

sounds like it's hitting the powerband on you. Sounds kinda normal to me.....

if it runs good until you hook up the secondaries then its to much carb or you have the secondaries kicking in to soon. why would the intake do that?

The 450s are mechanical secondaries with a single squirt nozzle giving the front and rear a shot at the same time.

you are saying you have 2- 450 carb. that all 4 barrels come in at the same time and 2 squirters pumping all 4 barrels at the same time, then i think that could be part of the problem, i dont think you need all that gas, i havent looked at a 450 lately but most mechanical sec. that ive worked on you could bend the rods going to the back barrels so it could be adj. to come in when you wonted them to. these cant be adj.?

The 450's are setup with just the primaries. If I hook up the secondaries they are somewhat vaccum. I have no vaccum modulators. Everything is mechanical.

I will try the progressive system and see what comes out of that.
