Will cam work with carb setup?

On my 315,bored 305, I have a 3 duece set up with 250cfm rocester carbs. I want to put a more agressive cam in and was thinking of a Extreme Energy hydraulic flat tapped 218/224 dur. Now running just the center carb with progressive linkage I don't think will be enough carb and since I have a couple of 3 carb intakes w/carbs I was purposing of taking the center carb off my spare intake and putting it on the intake I have on my block with a new linkage set up that will work both carbs primeries and seconderies and have the last carb open at WOT. Has anyone tried this before and if so did it work?
