Castrol had to pass a number of stringent tests (stipulated by an independent source) to qualify for the API performance rating on the side of the can. What kind of automotive, independent tests does Lucas qualify to? Or are they like most snake oils and hang their hat on testimonials such as "a guy at work..........swears by it", or "tests" that they make up that amazingly make their product look good?
