There is a lot of hate toward accel products, but for the street, if it's working then it's probably fine.
I once replaced an accel dizzy on the prejudiced opinion of a local mechanic and it wasn't at all the problem. (Problem was a combination of stall speed, manifold, and carb size.)
Personally I like to keep an extra dizzy module in the glove box, regardless of what brand name the dizzy has..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
