It's been re-wired for an internal regulator. I guess I'll pull it off and get it checked.
I also wanted to ask about voltage drop. The volt gauge reads almost 14v with the A/C off but drops to less then 12 when I turn it on. Any thoughts? I am thinking the alternator is a low amp unit (63 or less) and can't keep up with the A/C.
Gives me reason to yank it and have it tested anyway.
The wiring looks like it was well done. I haven't crawled up under the dash yet to check it all out but everything in the engine compartment looks good.
