that was a 267 SB Chevy in that 1979 Monte Carlo . I had a 1979 also with that same Engine . I owned two 1975 Chevy Monza's with 262 SB Chevy's in them . The one car was a 4-Speed . That 4-Speed 262 Monza got a Comp cams 268H High Rise and 600 D/P a Few other mods and Ran Low 14's on 13" Street Tires but MPH-ed Like a 13 Sec car . It would leave Long marks when power shifting 1-2 and 2-3 and was very easy on fuel . Great car to have now a Days . The 262's that I have had responded better to mods then that 267 in My 1979 Monte Carlo did .Wisdom is acquired by experience, not just by age

time for a new forum to visit. when they sold sr.com it went down hill fast. no more forum just a cheap site selling junkie cars. the canadians killed hr.com. mods are real pricks. as with any site...
Where is everybody?
