'nother day wont make any difference, Summit isn't that fast.

I was even staring longingly at some uisce beatha this afternoon to celebrate that Irish event so many years before ol' Chris (and as an Irisher, I hope you know what that stuff is)

I know the 351 and the 302 have the different eccentrics just went through it with the 302 with a 351 cam , no eccentric here to fit so it was left out for a electric pump . So I do have a 302 one here if you want it .

Thanks Bobby, but hopefully Summit will get one to me in a couple of days.

Did you happen to open my photos - that eccentric shown is the 'cost reduced' version. The single piece will work on all 'W' engines, regardless of what anyone says. I just couldn't get the drive pin out of the camshaft when I installed it a few years ago - and of course, it came out with no problem after running a few hours.

I'm also going to replace the existing Cloyes timing set with one that has two steel gears instead of that cast cam gear. Overkill - maybe, but I don't want another trip home at the end of a tow rope

well i was thinking Drink .. but i do not par take not as much as i did was abit of a dark rum lover . markers mark is not bad ,after i get the 3 ford engines done i just may have just a wee bit the drive pin is the same size as the 460 and on big rollers you can dual pin the cam keeps them from shearing been thinking of dual pining the 447 W engine it s has abit of valve spring as were are using a 760 lift roller

Are you sure that the fuel is good???
You didn't have a problem till after you put the new fuel in right?
A tanker can get a load of hot fuel or bad fuel and then drop it in the station tanks.
We had a loading terminal that opened a wrong valve one time and about 4 trucks
loaded fuel and were headed to stations around Florida. Should have seen the terminal scramble trying to get in touch with those truck drivers before they dropped thier loads of fuel in to the stations. Then all the fuel at the stations would have been contaminated too. I would be checking the fuel first, maybe in to gas cans and put new fuel in. If you find it is the fuel the station is lieable for your cost$$$$.

I received my parts from Summit this morning and installed the new timing set and fancy one piece eccentric temporarily using a 5/16 drill bit in place of the drive pin. I have a new ARP cam bolt to assemble it all together - ARP says to use 50 lb ft for a 3/8 'Pro' series bolt. Anyone, is that a correct torque figure? I also need the harmonic balancer bolt torque - which is not ARP (I forgot to order one so it's the OEM Ford) My Ford tech info is packed for an eventual move, so I'm flying blind. Hopefully if the drive pin arrives in the mail tomorrow morning, I'll get the engine back together in a couple of hours afterwards.

    Photos will follow - eventually

Thanks Pat - and the cam is a roller and steel so 40-50 on the Pro bolt should work then. And that 5/8-18, 120# does sound reasonable for what I recall but CRS has taken over lots of stuff
