sbc build for daily driver
I have a low compression 350 truck block with old style heads, 84 c-10 short bed, 350 trans. Its a goodwrench crate engine from the early 90's. I have a rebuild coming up for this engine but dont want to spend tons of money modifying it
. I have done the modifying and high horse power engines and love it but just want a dependable engine mill that will be pretty much maintenance free. What I want to build is a efficient, low maintenance, with torque and fuel mileage being priority. I guess I would only really need to modify the cam and valve train to get it running efficiently. I am going to keep the stock exhaust manifolds, stock exhaust pipes(y pipe into a 3" single tube) , stock intake. Any ideas on cam companies that offer quality products that will last 250,000 miles on the street? Tires are 31.5" tall tires and a 700r4 trans is in the future also. Engine is carbed with a quadrajet and have a air fuel ratio gauge on it now to fine tune the carb. Thanks

time for a new forum to visit. when they sold sr.com it went down hill fast. no more forum just a cheap site selling junkie cars. the canadians killed hr.com. mods are real pricks. as with any site...
