If it was the other way where your crank was in too far I was going to recommend that same spacer I am using from Zoops, but yours is just the opposite problem of mine. What water pump are you using? Those can vary too. I have actually had to pull the top flange a little further out with a press at times to get things to line up........had to do that on the 350 in my T.
