Compare the wrist pin placement to the oil ring in this 5.7 rod piston....

A spacer ring or other apparatus must be used to support the ends of the rails and expander as they rotate in the ring land. More stuff to go wrong in my opinion.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.
