    4 7 swap?

     



    How did they discover this? Why does it work ? And why can't I find one under .630 lift? Are they strictly for big motors or big HP? Does anybody have any answers to these questions? Also I was wondering if I could just change out my stock rocker arms for a higher ratio set would it open the valves more or would it matter after adjusting them. And if it did open the valves more should I be concerned with clearance issues? Any info would be greattly appreciated.

    4-7 swap has been a round for some time your cam is opening the valve for the different order so they change out the firing order so the engine will run just a nother order to fire the plugs WHO was first to do this i could not tell you that. you can get them smaller then 640. ERSON CAM and others you have to call them and they will grind some thing if they do not have one in a self grind i have built engines using them. cam cores are more available less twist on the crank and added TQ but on a smaller low hp hard to say you see any thing there is another firing order to the ls1 race firing order to ,any time you open up your valve more there is other things you have to look at valve springs for more lift. valve to piston like you said .valve retainer to valve guide or valve seal. rocker slot hitting the stud .pushrods hitting in the head or pushrod guide
