I used that book for my first build a while back, and I had almost no experience in re-building engines. Very detailed so even a beginner can feel comfortable. Shows you how to use the special tools also. Its absolutely ideal for a beginner. I thought is was great.
As for putting the engine on the stand, you need a hoist to get the engine up, the stand is using the stand pretty self explainatory, the book does touch on some tips for using the stand and which ones are better than others. No it does not show you how to put the engine in the car.
