The tri-cylinder two-stroke Kwackers were quite a bike.
Perhaps the most interesting one I ever saw was a twin engine drag bike at Lions Dragstrip one day.
Darndest sounding thing you ever heard.
It sounded like they had the engines coupled so that it fired every 60 degrees.
I forget the times, but it was running with the drag Harleys....C9

It's been one helluva long time since I owned the triples and the Z, but if my memory serves me I believe that the 750 H2 held the record for 1/4 mile for quite a while, and that was a out of the box, retail version running on pump gas. They were the original "fast and furious" machines.
My 750 was super fast but a real handfull to control. I really liked the 500 as it was super quick and easy to throw around in tight turns at speed. I regretted getting rid of that one when I got the Z, but the Z was not only fast but made one helluva nice tourer. I loaded it up with a Vetter Windjammer and bags and headed out cross country several times. For a big bike (about 600 lbs) it was nimble and quick. Not as comfortable of a tourer as the Wings, but you could go in to turns a lot deeper without scraping the shiny stuff. Did scrape the shine off my leathers at the knees though.
