The problem is the Chevy trans won't bolt up to the Olds diesel w/o an adapter. The Chevy pattern is different from Olds, Buick, Pontiac and Cadillac.

Okay, for the know-it-alls, yes, the dowels will line up and you can get the bottom bolt in on each side. But that leaves 4 bolts left. Gonna run around with 2 bolts holding your trans to your engine? Yes, I have seen it done.

Other than that, no problem getting the engine in there.
