Tunnel Ram Problems
Hey guys, I am new here.
I have a chevy 350 with an Edelbrock tunnel ram with 2 Edelbrock 500 CFM carbs.
Idles great for about 4 minutes at about 1100 rpm then ramps up to about 2200rpm and the temp shoots up, I have not let it go past 190 degrees............
Any thoughts were to start?Burn em if you got em

Idle speed increase with heating points to a vacuum leak, but why it runs good for a few minutes beats me. Something heating up and opening up a leak, I suppose.

If its idling fast and you shut it off, enough gas/air is getting in to fire without spark. It will run either way under those conditions.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
