Thnx all, got it closer now took the torque wrench and tightened the balancer bolt to 70 ftlbs and changed the water pump pully to 1 I thought looked the same but it lined up closer ,now its off by maybe a 1/16 or less!! I will try it like this if I get belt wear problems or it jumps off the pulley I will get some paper thin washers.Thnx for all the help!! ............. The story on the engine is that some kid got a long block built and balanced ..(but) he put on the water pump, intake, valve covers and oil pan and so on and so on.Basically I have disasembled the thing back to a long block...............So while I am at this stage I will check torque on the heads, crank and all the bolts I can reach and see,is this a good idea?
