    Nostalgia Drags Clip

This was the first round of eliminations from the Nostalgia Drags this past Sunday. The file is a tad large, so dial-up people may fall asleep waiting for the download.

Right click and save target as.

I have convinced myself that I will wait till the 406 expires. The next trip to the races I will be upping the fogger jets from 350 to 450, so it could be soon. That will give me a 600hp boost. Does that sound like fun?

Seeing as how we are on the subject of control. I noticed a funny thing when I was slowing down from 133 mph, the car wants to drift from side to side till I get the speed down to under 100. Do you think the wings on the back of the car have anything to do with this, or possibly tire pressure? I'm running 11 lbs of pressure in the rear tires. It had me a little concerned as it felt like someone was pushing me from side to side, and I'm sure the people at the end of the track are wondering what is going on too.

That BB Injected '55 Chebbie i picked as best car at cruise night said he has the same problem. He's runnin' sportsmans on the back and said when he backs off it hops around and drifts from side to side. He said if he puts it in neutral it stops much straighter. Not having tried this myself i don't know if that's a good way to fix the problem or not. Since mines lag bolted to the toy room floor it stays purdy' straight ALL the time. He HE He

Ummm, slipping it into neutral is kinda out of the question due to reverse shift pattern, I don't think the tranny would like it if I downshifted at 130. EEEEEK!

I am betting that your chassis is unloading on you when you let the power off. When you have power on, it is pushing the chassis one way, when you let off, it tries to go a different way. Might check with a good chassis man for advice. Or possibly can be remedied with caster adjustment at the front end.
