Ok, yeah, it was the same deal as Shepard. The guys name was David Baker, had a speed shop in Clear Lake, Tx. He was doing a shakedown on his new car, just some 60' and 300' stuff. Seems about the 3rd launch, the car felt good so he stayed on it. Got crossed up at the end, turned sideways, slicks bit and he rolled it. No belts on, helmet was in the pits.... Called a friend of mine in Houston this afternoon and got the details that somehow had eluded me!!!! Heck, it was just awhile back, like '81 or something.....
