Thanks guys. And for the email fwd. I checked the date first...and winged it. Groups usually have historical interest too so its nice when people add history when they can....or people fwd to help out...too...so thank you.
Those quarter panels i cut out...i remember hated cutting through the Moon Eyes decal, and Roadrunner head racing cams decal....i like history too.....but I saved the two pieces...only to be lost in moments of moving around year 2000. I hope another lover of hot rods made a connection with them, and saved them.
As for rides under me....I didnt race pro like Ken, I did street road canyon race. Growing up around Malibu Canyon...lets just say I got to the beach a whole lot quicker than my friends ;-)
I did a nice job on this T/A in photo. Factory 455HO w/Munice 4spd... replaced w/ 69' Pontiac police cruiser 428 block, 421 rods, and so on,completely machined well, paying a lot of attention to detail, and precision. Lasted 20+ years and not at just 55 mph. Lowered (properly) front & rear, geared trans & rear (learned some thx to Ken) to keep up with the bikers thru canyons (they never lost me). My proud claim to local valley fame.
Used to like getting in front of a sister GM Z28.... and let them read my CA license plate... "IETZ28S"..... as I left them sitting there trying to figure it out. Ha ha. (no more car,but kept the plates live)
Ken liked to go 0-176 in under 10 seconds. (he's nuts! lol) I liked to go around S curves at 60, stick like glue, and be at the beach..... a bit over 10 seconds lol.Last edited by Jimmy Kidd; 08-13-2013 at 07:39 PM.
I've been checking in and figured the site had died forever. I checked today and bam it's back on. Awesome. I don't contribute much here, I just come to read and enjoy hotrod builds and good company...
