Takes a good car, street rod or whatever to run in the 11's or quicker.... It also takes a cage, drive shaft hoops, 5 point harness and a bunch of other safety equipment.


I had a purpose built 'glass 34 coupe that ran 9.90's... But it had a tube chassis, 12 point cage, 501 cubes, Neal Chance glide and converter, 4 link rear and all the rest of the goodies. Very few would actually call it a street rod, but more a drag car with a coupe body.

You can run 10's in a T.... but IMO it had better be a car that is built to run that fast, and not just a lot of horsepower and a set of slicks with a light car and no safety equipment....
