Well, Jim, I know this guy.

There is a man who lives a few miles from me. He spent 35 or 40 years with General Motors attached to the automatic transmission department (if that's what they call it). After he retired he built a great little shop behind his home and overhauls transmissions, and this dude knows his stuff.

He built my TH400 for me.

The situation is that he works when and for whom he damn well pleases. Like me, he's old, he's cranky, and he knows what his services are worth, but he could probably handle any Hydramatic if whoever owns the transmission approached him in the right manner.

If anybody needs Hydramatic service (and doing business with somebody in North Texas is feasible), I'll try to put you in contact with him.

    Jim
