Hight did win, so did Little Bernstein and Greg Anderson. But, last time I checked, Atlanta was in Georgia.........

All the back and forth about mental and physical abilities reminds me of a story..............could be legend, might even be true........but a good story none the less.

Dave Zeuschel (young buck will be wondering "Who?", old bucks will know he was an engine building stud) used to have a test to determine if a potential driver had "it". He'd be working on something as the person walked into the room. Without warning Z would flip the wrench in his hand at the guy. If the guy caught it, he had potential. One such kid who passed the "test" was Don Prudhomme.

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Heard of that Prudhomme guy, guess he has made a few passes and hung around drag racing for awhile.........

Did he get to keep the wrench????

I thought Georgia was in the former Soviet Union. That's a looong way to go for a race.
