I like that shifter, too. Would love to see a pic of it before you installed it, if you have any.:HMMM:
Years ago (1977) I went to a NSRA event and put my car (1915 Ford C-Cab) in line for the safety inspection. Before it got inspected I was shown a list of required equipment which included minimum 7 inch headlights, neutral start switch, and a gear indicator on the shifter. I pulled my car out of line because I had 6 inch headlights (same as the Indiana State Police back then), I didn't have a neutral start switch (didn't want one), and there was no gear indicator on my factory GM shifter (from a '66 Chevelle). At that point I figured the NSRA could go poop in a sack :p- I build my cars to suit me, not them. Those poor inspectors would have fit with this car - they wouldn't be able to find the shifter, much less a gear indicator! Ha, ha! I love it; I gotta build one for my Deuce when I get that far...
It's DONE and ready for sum miles
Awesome, Don! A true classic '32 roadster.
Absolutely beautiful!
Had no doubts you would make it in time for the June run. Excellent job and a keeper.
Are you going to put the hood straps on like the other one? I always thought that gave
it a bunch of character. Nice Roadster!
Hood straps goin on sumtime this week Ray, also a cyclops fog light. Still have to do a paint touch up, get it registered , put the top on and try to get 3/400 miles on it before I pull out on the maiden voyage to Bowling Green KY (850 miles) a week from Tuesday. Alan Davey (Mumbles) from Australia is flyin into OKC on the 13th to ride along with me. Gonna meet most of "The Greybeards" there for our yearly reunion. Hop in the 40 and run out with me.
Looks fantastic. Very nicely done detailed stripping is awesome. Also like the reverse mirror message on radiator grill!
You build great Hot Rods, have a good trip!

Kookie will be right pleased with you and her tribute Roadster Don and I pray that you enjoy many trouble free great smiling miles in her.
Thanks for the invite Don. Wife's doctor appointments conflict with Bowling Green so can't do it this year. Have registered for Pinetop Az again this year, I like that one. May consider Pueblo, don't know. Sure would like to take you up on the offer to spin the Delivery down the road to see how different it is. Have a good time.
