Your so right Dave, Most who build don't have a clue where they are goin. They look @ cars @ shows, in rags(magazines) etc and pull ideas of to many different cars and try to blend them. IT DON'T WORK THAT WAY. Ya gotta know what the finished product is gonna look like B4 ya even start. I've been fortunate enuf to be @ this game for goin on 50 years and have built my fair share of 32's. So doin my final is gonna B a piece of cake. Also having the funds to buy all the neccesary parts in 1 shot helps also. Sure wish I had a body and chassis sittin here, I'd be on it like stink on cow doo doo. June 1st is gonna B here B4 I know it. Wanna take it to Bowling Green. Are you and Cathy gonna try and make it there/ Would enjoy seein ya again..

The valve cover were a lot of work, had to shorten em length wise 7/8 " on each end, the build billet adapters to bolt em to SBC head. about 30 hrs invested less the paint work.

Bummer. Guess I'll have to stick to the mastercraft 265/75-15 I've got. They are almost 31" tall so close enough. I'm subscribed so I'll be watching this build. Thanks for posting.

Don, I never thought a 55 profile would work on big n' littles. Too modern of a profile. However, with the larger 17" rim, the ratio of sidewall to rim diameter matches that of the front wheels very nicely. Well done.

    What are the fronts, BTW?

Jim you could always go to a 235 85/ 16 on a 7" wheel for the rear 32.5 tall

Love the 10-spoke and 5-spoke wheels on the previous page in post #25. Also like the stance of that car. After scratch-building 20+ frames and chassis over the last 48 years (T-buckets, C-Cabs, Model-A's, '48 Anglia), I am finally building my first Deuce. Have really enjoyed your threads; you put 'em together quick! My last complete build took me a few years...
