Coming together pretty fast. Nice work
Don, those were the rare ones! I remember about you telling me before. Of course, I had to look on ebay just in case. If some guys can catch halibrand wheels while being struck by lightening, then perhaps I could score a pair of those covers. No Luck. But look at these being made by Moroso now. They too are going to be rare. Price alone dictates that. Why would a circle track guy want a set milled from a solid bar? Other than looks, which they have, or super light weight, I can't come up with a reason.

Changed to the wheels I'm gonna run most of the time
Anutter update.
Doesn't look too much different but all the little stuff is done under, doors are hung and deck lid handle installed.
BTW, 2 day is the 30th day into the build
Ready 4 the guts, must be gettin old this 1 took 33 days
I think you've got building these dialed in better than just about anyone!
Loaded and ready to go get the "Guts"
Almost two weeks...................is it back yet? Can't wait to see how it turned out!
awesome!!! I always enjoy looking at your builds. I wish mine went as quick as yours do.
Less than 1 day and it's insulated, seat base made and door panels made
Don, what brand insulation is that?
It's used to wrap turbine jet engines, buddy get's it for me in bulk, best heat insulation and sound deadener out there, all mil-spec grade. Spendy but who cares when it's the BEST. Just got this from my trimmer, ran up this am and we fit the seat to me, and 3 hrs later it's done. He's the best.
do you know the name of it?
Now what you are saying is if I want to purchase one of your built Roadsters with trim by Tim, I will need to lose a heap of weight as to fit the seat just like you. wink wink... Another amazing job by you both Don and Tim.
Ever use dynamat?
Any suggestions other than the aircraft ubber expensive?
Try FatMat Stovens
thanks for the tip. lots of stuff out there
UPDATE: 6 working days and interior done
Okay Don, I have just gone thru the whole thread again and couldn't find what you are going to use for a shifter or hand brake. I noticed that there was no hole in the floor for either so wondered what trick you have up your sleeve ? Tim has done another outstanding job for you again and I must say, I like the way one sits down into the roadster more so then sitting too high with ones head up in the breeze.
Looks like an e brick to me.
But it looks like it has a length of string attached to enable release the brake when you want to move. These hidden trans selectors under the dash just a newish idea as I haven't seen one anywhere so if you could shoot a photo of it and how it works Don would be really appreciated.
Looking really good Don !!!! I know Mary Ann is proud of ya !!!!! Hope to see ya in Bowling Green !
Don, great work on that shifter. I really like that!
Think I'm going to do that for Robin's car-----thanks
Also I'd like a link to where you get your roadster windshields-I need a couple of them plus I got a Cabrilet SP? and ain't real happy the way it is-----but roll up windows and a convertible top------
Reminds me of the shifter on my step dad's 60 Corvair.:D
