When I did the water pump relocation on a 36 GMC truck, I made some "templates" of the prospective hoses out of stiff wire, and marked the ends with masking tape denoting the inlet size needed. Went to the nearby Napa, who have become used to my odd requests, and they sent me to the back room to pick them out myself...
