Gary, those tabs bolt to the radiator, not to the grille shell. The condenser mounts solid to the radiator, the radiator mounts to the frame with springs to allow flex, and the shell mounts how ever it needs to. My shell ('33/34) has one small bolt to a tab off the top of the radiator, and then four bolts to the splash aprons that mount to the frame so it moves if the radiator moves. I know your deuce is different, but I thought that the grille mounted to the frame at the bottom.
