Rear Bumper
Hey Everyone,
Seems like I have been getting a ton of emails wanting to know what bumper I used (real or remake) on my last set of photos. Well the answer is I used the bumper from NAM (New Age Motorsports). The reason I chose to use the NAM bumper is because it is built much better than the old original bumper PLUS it is made of stainless steel (no more pitting). YES, these bumpers are available at NAM to anyone who wants one. I just felt this was an easier way to answer all of my emails .

My influence
This is my car loosely influenced off the American Graffiti Coupe. It is a '32 5 window with a kustom grille shell. Powered by a supercharged flathead and backed by a '39 Ford Trans with Zephyr Gears.

I bet the original would bring really stupid money if it went on the block. It's a perfect example of how a car that is far from perfect proportionately and finishwise can be so cool that tons of people want it or one like it. I wouldn't even want to guess where the bidding would stop if it went on Barrett Jackson. I bet the current owner wouldn't have to work for a while.

THANKS prprrp for the kind words on the coupe I am building!!!! I do take a lot of pride in it . As for what the original coupe would at auction, all I can say is that it would be WAY OUT of my price range . Once while at a car show I over heard a guy trying to buy the original coupe from the owner and he was offering ONE MILLION DOLLARS for the coupe and the current owner could keep possession of the coupe! NO LIE!!!! The owner Rick Figari turned him down quick! I truly believe that if the original coupe went to Barret Jackson that it would probably set a new record for money paid for one car. As for the coupe I am working on, I haven't really touched it for sometime due to starting a new job, cold weather and the holidays but I am hoping to get back on it starting in January. I did want to mention that if you guys REALLY want to see the quality of the New Age Motorsports 32 bodies go over to the New Age Motorsports website (www.newage-motorsports.com) and click on the New Age Motorsports Video Archives link to see a virtual tour of their 1932 ford 3" chopped coupe and stock height coupe bodies. THESE VIDEO'S ARE REALLY KOOL!!!!! I hope to have NEW pictures for all of you at the first of the year!!

Project ... don't feel bad, I'm at a halt here too with the holidays and crap. I ordered my wheels from Paulsen's at the beginning of October, still waiting on those. Got the short block done, tranny rebuilt and painted. Thats about it for now. Like you, January will see more action.

Hanging from Milner's rear view mirror is a blue garter belt with a pin/button of John F. kennedy saying "HE WILL WIN". This pin/button is an old flicker type button which mean when you move the button it will show Kennedy's face but when moved again it will show "HE WILL WIN".

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
