Long time no post, but tonight I can't catch up, so I'll have to post later about the last 3 week long ordeal with my car paint job (don't laugh)...

FOR NOW URGENTLY NEED TO KNOW:

Is it OK to bolt my ignition coil, with it's brand new slip on finned cover to my FIBERGLASS FIREWALL... the coil and cover get a bit heavy and I know fiberglass is not all that strong. I plan to affix a strong metal plate about 2 inch high and 6 inch long to the INSIDE of the firewall to help spread the pressure of the two bolts to a larger surface area.

Still, I worry that with the slight weight and the roadster bouncing up and down the road, the firewall may crack if I bolt this coil to it.

Then again, it is probably OK but before I drill my firewall tomorrow I wanted to ask someone else here who might have done this on a glass car...?

thanks for your input.
