Well 5 inchs is about 1 inch from the floor.
If i change the Ex pipe i will have a big S in it.
For 1 inch should i do that?
How far abpve the floor is you brake pedel from the floor?
thanks Dave

I wouldn't want anything blocking my brake pedal from having the maximum of travel that the master cylinder will allow. Without a master cylinder installed, no way to tell if you have a problem....

the cyl is install but i have no fluid in at all (mock up) and have not adj the rod.
But i can make the rod up to 2 inch longer to bottom out the master cyl.\
So if i get it right i want to have 1 inc from floor and bottom oout M/C and have 1/4 inch play at top? is that about right?

I unexpectidly tested this theory, the long U bolt on the newly installed rear leaf spring when the shackle moved put that bolt right into the metal flex line for the rear brake was sheared off, and when I got off the freeway I only had the front brakes of the dual master working and I needed all the pedal I had. Got me home and stopped safely. Ed ke6bnl

As long as you are bottoming out the master cylinder, everything should be fine for the pedal...

Make sure you use a spring on your brake pedal rod so it will fully return and release the brakes.

Get a couple of fender washers from your local hardware store and a spring that will be long enough to fit between the edge of your master cylinder and the yoke on the rod that connects to the brake pedal. You may have to enlarge the hole in the washer. This will make sure your brake pedal returns to the full "up" position when you take your foot off the brake. Mine did not and my brakes would not completely release. I have heard from others that had the same problem. The spring solved the problem and made the brakes release properly. Somebody makes a kit for this, but it is a lot less expensive if you do as I described.
