    lt1

I just got a 96 z28 yesterday and its my 1st car that is actsully mine (the chevelle is my dads) The z28 has a lt1 engine and holy god it scared me. That thing would kill the chevelle any day of the week. My question is about how much power does that z28 make, it is all stock except for flowmasters.

theoretically it should make around 260 RWHP, but I've noticed that the LT1's tend to vary a bit in hp. If you have an ex cop car(yes they used the z28 as a cop car in a few areas) it might be even more.

Flywheel, I think it was right around 285hp

I could be wrong, so you might want to check my numbers elsewhere as well.

you're about right, the stock arrangement has about 325 at the flywheel, amazingly my buddy says his brothers is 360 rwhp ,i just gave him the (I know your b.s. ing ) look since the only mod is the stripe he had put on it.
If it's geared right you don't need big h.p. numbers . mike
