Take a close look at the inside bore. If it has any kind of a stop, then take a measurement and compare it with how far it is going on.
I seem to recall having a balancer once which looked like it wasn't deep enough in, so I pulled it off. It had a shoulder machined in which positively positioned it. So i put it back on and forgot about it.Last edited by firebird77clone; 11-27-2016 at 06:31 PM.

Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Do you think the shop did anything different to the crank? I had them shave it when they rebuilt it. Like I said the rest of the engines I've done myself I didn't have a problem.
