I figured everything out, reason for backfire was because I had two sparkplug wires mixed up on distributor(cylinder 3 and 4), on accident.. Got car to cut off now by running my switch wire from the msd box to a separate switch.. Thanks for all the help, car is running perfect, ready to hit the strip..

I missed that sequence a couple of times myself. It may look like amateur night, but I put clip on wire numbers near the distributor cap end. It's interesting when you have both a Pontiac and a Chevy in the garage.

I like a paint marker for numbering the wires. I like information at my fingertips. On the dodge, I wrote the firing order on top of the radiator, with a sharpie..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
