    Bailing wire won't hold unless you double or triple strand it. Coat hanger is better, but 1/8" weld rod will never fail.

    Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

    Yep.
    For one season only.
    The hay was swept to the baler and forked in, and two kids were given the job of tying the wire, being not strong enough to fork hay all day.

    I remember the baling wire balers. Never had to ride one of them
    but I remember my Dad and Uncle punching those wires.
