327 Small Block -Oil Sandwich Plate fitting Problems-

Ok guys I got a 327 Chevy Small-block that I want to install a oil cooler on, I removed all the hardware and now im at dead-end where I can't install it due to the Strangest Problem ever.

As you can clearly see the actual threads are deeper in there and i can't find anything that will help me install it... Please help.

I can at least say welcome to the club. Glad you figured it out and thanks for letting us know the solution. How about a picture of the project vehicle?

Yep, the adapter will come with a NPT nipple to go into the filter area, or some of them (better higher priced ones) actually have you remove the bypass plate and bolt it into those holes......much more stable in my opinion....
