I know exactly what you mean, but for each additional part there's some small tolerance in the machining process so it makes sense that as we add moving parts we may hear some new "ticks". If you've adjusted them right (maybe several times now??) and you're confident that your adjustment process is correct then I'd say it's time to drive it! I like the sign Pepi quoted, 'Trust but Verify', and it sounds like you're there!

Of course, Dave S' approach (headers open) works too - as a kid I remember being told, "Just turn the radio up and quit worrying with it!!"
