thanks guys i believe its a 305 cause the heads casting "14014416" is for a 305. But that's saying its the original heads. i couldn't find the casting number either.

Casting 1404416 is a 1980-86 305 head with 59cc chamber so it did not come
with the block.....and a 267 had a different casting number. Someone has changed
heads on this block at some time.

its a 305 change the 855909 to 355909 and you get this
1976-85 355909 305 - - 2 A
and since the building stamp is B2 78 it not a 262.

IF you paid for a 350 and got a 305, the seller should refund at least 2/3 of your money.....maybe more. The 305 crank is the same stroke as a 350 but the counterweights are different.....not much salvageable off a 305 block/heads/internals.
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
