    wierd noise

hey, i just put on a new flexplate. when i started the car up there is like a wierd clicking noise. I think it is an exhaust leak but i was wondering has anyone ever heard a clicking type noise coming from the flexplate/converter. I hope i put it on right

Did you do anything with the exhaust that might cause it to leak? Did it leak before? I would check all the bolts holding the converter to the flexplate to make sure they are tight, also check clearances and make sure the starter gear is retracting. Is it a brand new flexplate or a re-used one? If it is cracked that could also make a clicking sound

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
